When you become a Kelly Community member, you’re not just opening an account at another financial institution. Membership is available to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Smith County, Texas. And, immediate family members of anyone who meets qualifications to join.

• Complete an application and open your account online.
• Open a Share Savings Account. This account establishes your credit union membership and must remain open.
• You can also complete a Membership Application at any of our branch offices with proof of membership eligibility.
• Deposit at least $5 into your Share Savings Account. A minimum balance of $5 must remain in the account at all times.
• Pay a one-time membership fee of $10.

In February 1963, a small group of workers at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Plant in Tyler, Texas, came together to pool their savings and create a place where Kelly-Springfield employees could access savings and loan services. In 2001, we expanded our services to the broader community. Five years later, we officially became Kelly Community Federal Credit Union, the trusted institution our members know and love today.
