Have You Viewed Your Updated Credit Score?
Did you know you have free access to your credit score in Online and Mobile Banking? We update it for you quarterly (every three months) to help prevent fraud and help you improve your finances.
You always want your credit score to go up or stay the same. That usually indicates you are making payments on time and paying down your total amount of debt.
If your score goes down a point or two in three months, that’s not a big deal. If it goes down significantly in that time, it could mean several things:
- Someone has reported you to a collection agency
- Someone may have opened one or more accounts in your name
- Someone may have taken out a loan with your identity and left you to pay the bill
Please take the time to view your credit score regularly. This is your best defense against fraud and mistakes made by lenders and collection agencies. Anyone can make a mistake that negatively impacts your credit score. Checking regularly lets you dispute those mistakes immediately and restore your credit score.
To view your credit score in our mobile app:
- Tap the menu button.
- Select “My FICO Score.”
- That’s it!
If you find activity you don’t recognize on your credit report, like accounts you didn’t open, please report them immediately using the tools in the app.
